1. Travel:
In Nepal, X are a culinary delight! Locals make a spicy and tangy chutney by mixing the petals with salt, spices, and lemon juice. It is also fermented to create a special wine enjoyed during festivals, and dried petals are brewed into herbal tea.
X is widely found across the hilly regions of Nepal, blooming in vibrant shades of red, pink, and white. It is featured in the emblem of the Nepal Mountaineering Association, signifying its importance to the country's identity. Identify X.
2. Literature:
X's works have been adapted into various films and television series, highlighting their enduring relevance. For instance, "Godaan" was adapted into a Hindi film in 1963 and later into a TV series. Also the story "Shatranj Ke Khilari" was adapted by renowned filmmaker Satyajit Ray into a critically acclaimed film in 1977. Both adaptations, though distinct in their narrative styles, reflect X's keen observation of human nature and social realities. Identify X.
3. Science and Entertainment:
Larfleeze, also known as X, is a supervillain appearing in comics published by DC Comics, usually as an antagonist in books featuring Green Lantern. Some refer to him at first as "Gonzo" because of his resemblance to the Muppet of the same name.
X is also a chemical herbicide, used by the U.S. military as part of its herbicidal warfare program, during the Vietnam War from 1961 to 1971.
Fun Facts:
The Monera Temple in Madhya Pradesh, India, is known for its distinctive architectural style, particularly its shikhara (tower). One of the buildings inspired by the Monera Temple is the Parliament House of India in New Delhi. Designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens, the Parliament House's central dome and symmetrical layout draw inspiration from Indian architectural elements, including the shikhara of temples like the Monera Temple.
In Auroville, near Pondicherry, India, there's a unique community initiative called the Auroville Village Exchange (AVEX), where residents and nearby villagers trade goods and services using a barter system! Instead of using money, they earn "Auroville Units" (AVUs) by contributing to the community through various activities like farming, arts, and sustainable projects. It's like stepping into a real-life trading adventure, where your work earns you tokens to exchange for all sorts of goodies and services, fostering a spirit of cooperation and sustainability!
