1. Mythology:
The X river originates in the Vindhya Range of Madhya Pradesh is not worshipped in the same way as some other rivers in India.
According to Hindu mythology, during the exile period of the Pandavas, Draupadi, went to bathe in the X River. As she bathed, she invoked a curse upon the river, condemning it to remain infested with dacoits (armed robbers) and criminals. This curse is believed to have contributed to the river's reputation for lawlessness and banditry in later centuries.

2. Entertainment:
X movie was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. It is a remake of the Bengali film Galpo Holeo Satti. It has spawned remakes in several languages. Movie has a story of a dysfunctional family who constantly bicker with each other, but are shown the way to happiness by a cook, played by Rajesh Khanna.
The head of the family is played by Y. He is a poet, dramatist, actor and musician. He was also the first ever MP from Vijaywada. His sister is the nightingale of India - Sarojini Naidu.

3. Environment:
X Prize also known as the Green Nobel Awards. The Prize was founded by in 1989. It recognises grassroots environmental leaders from six regions (Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, South and Central America) and lastly, islands and island nations.
Alok Shukla, a forest and tribal rights activist, has been awarded the prestigious X Prize 2024 for his successful campaign that saved 4.45 lakh acres of biodiversity-rich forests from 21 planned coal mines in Chhattisgarh's Hasdeo Aranya region.

Fun Facts:
Did you know Cleopatra's iconic smoky eye look wasn't just for show? Ancient Egyptians, including Cleopatra, used black and green eye makeup made partially from lead. Surprisingly, a recent study suggests that this makeup helped ward off eye infections! Researchers found that the low doses of lead salts in the makeup boosted the immune system by increasing nitric oxide production, which fights bacteria. So, Cleopatra’s mesmerizing eyes were not only captivating but also a clever way to stay healthy!
American Samoa, home to the remote and stunning National Park of American Samoa, requires all visitors, including US citizens, to obtain a visa for entry. Despite being a US territory, American Samoa's unique cultural and political status has led to the implementation of this requirement, ensuring the preservation of its cultural identity and the sustainable management of tourism. So, while exploring this hidden gem may require a bit more paperwork, it promises a truly unforgettable and off-the-beaten-path adventure!
