X (an event) which takes place during Makar Sankrati (mid-January), every year at Kapilmuni's ashram is said to be India's second largest pilgrimage gathering after the Kumbh Mela. This annual pilgrimage draws millions to an Island at the confluence of the Ganges and Bay of Bengal and commemorates the legendary King Bhagirath's descent of the Ganges to Earth. This even was in recent news as it has faced challenges due to rising sea levels and beach erosion near the Kapil Muni temple on the Island.

X is a German film score composer and music producer. He has won two Oscars and four Grammys. X was also named on the list of Top 100 Living Geniuses, published by The Daily Telegraph in 2007.
His works are notable for integrating electronic music sounds with traditional orchestral arrangements. Since the 1980s, he has composed music for over 150 films. He has won two Academy Award for Best Original Score for The Lion King (1994), and Dune (2021). His works include Gladiator, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Man of Steel, Interstellar, Dunkirk, and many more.

X (a golf legend) has broken up with Y (a world’s largest sport wear company) after a protracted 27-year collaboration. The player signed with the company in 1996 when he turned professional. This marked the beginning of one of the most successful and enduring athlete-endorser relationships in the sports industry. The endorsement deal was reported to be worth around $40 million over five years. Y developed a line of signature golf apparel and equipment for X.

Fun Facts:
The Moon looks upside down in the Southern Hemisphere. Compared to the Northern Hemisphere, anyway. This means that the ‘Man in the Moon’ is upside down in the Southern Hemisphere.
